Help and advice - COSHH regulations

The Health and Safety at Work Act places a duty on employers to protect employees' health, safety and welfare. COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) is part of this act and places a duty on employers and employees to ensure the exposure to hazardous substances is prevented or controlled.

There are regulations to undertake a full test and report of all local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems functioning at your site including dust extraction systems, spray booths and fume extraction. The purpose of this is to ensure your LEV systems are achieving an adequate level of control in circumstances where your employees may be exposed to a substance hazardous to health.
